If I could stop all the World
Every person in place
And hold them that way
Heart to heart, Face to face

Silence every clock ticking
Stall the progress of pace
Tell me, what could I say
That would not fall to waste?

Should I tell all the World
That I love them …sincerely?
Could we expect them to care?
Would The World even hear me?

Or should I tell the whole world
Something hopeful and fake?
Like the tales of old…
A new lie to embrace?

Rather still, I may say
Something both sweet and bitter
Yet as true as a raindrop
Fell free from the weather

Something everyone knows
That’s hardly ever considered?

I think I’d tell all The World:
“I know that we can do better”
